I grew up in the Seattle area and I’ve lived here most of my life. After going to college out of the immediate vicinity I moved back to the Bothell area and, after a while, I moved to Everett to be closer to work (then work promptly moved to Bothell). I’ve got two cats, Lenny and Carl, both with unique (and awesome) personalities.
I work in the aerospace manufacturing industry in Supplier Management. I’ve had the opportunity to work with suppliers from the US, Asia, and Europe and been able to travel quite a bit. I’ve also been given the opportunity to work in purchasing jobs ranging from contracts (negotiating contractual terms and conditions as well as pricing) to operations (ensuring on-time delivery of quality products). I’ve been able to work as a factory liaison, coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing on a new program and I’ve created tools and processes and developed strategic direction for a state-of-the-art operations center working on a new method of getting visibility in, and of, a complex and widely distributed supply chain.
While I don’t coach football any longer, I coached 25+ teams over a span of 15+ years. From 5 year olds in flag football through high school age players in both tackle football and also full contact arena football. I’m not too much of a pro football fan but I do enjoy watching college football as well as high school ball.
I love outdoor activities including hiking and snowshoeing and mountain biking and want to get back into spending my weekends outside in the near future.
Finally, I really enjoy all things technology. From new gadgets to trying to learn coding languages, technology has always interested me and, I’m sure, will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
